2026 Baseball Registration

2026 Baseball Districts

We encourage all eligible EGGLL players to try out for these teams, but please understand that players must be selected to join the teams based on regular season play, coaches feedback, and the district tryout. This is a wonderful opportunity for players to continue their growth in a highly competitive environment. The goal for these teams is to compete at the highest level possible. Playing time will follow Little League Baseball tournament standards and are not driven by local regular season rules.
 
District tryouts for baseball players ages 9 – 12 years old will be held on Saturday May 30th, 2026 (Rain Date: Sunday May 31st) at East Granby Farms

  • 12U Team (Baseball Age 12) -Saturday May 30th, check-in begins at 1:00pm & starts promptly at 1:30pm
  • 11U Team (Baseball Age 11) Saturday May 30th, check-in begins at 2:30pm & starts promptly at 3:00pm
  • 10U Team (Baseball Age 9 & 10)-Sunday May 30th, check-in begins at 4:00pm & starts promptly at 4:30pm 

 
 
12U Team Eligibility – The player needs to be baseball league age 12 or 11 and must be playing at the Majors level in the Spring regular season. The player must have played at least 8 of the team’s regular season games. The player must be a Granby or East Granby resident or attend a school in Granby or East Granby.
 
11U Team Eligibility –The player needs to be baseball league age 11 or 10 and must be playing at the AAA or Majors level in the Spring regular season. The player must have played at least 8 of the team’s regular season games. The player must be a Granby or East Granby resident or attend a school in Granby or East Granby.
 
10U Team Eligibility – The player needs to be baseball league age 10 or 9 and may be playing at the AA, AAA or Majors levels in the Spring regular season. The player must have played at least 8 of the team’s regular season games. The player must be a Granby or East Granby resident or attend a school in Granby or East Granby.
 
Availability 12U/11U/10U – The players selected are expected to participate in all practices and games of the district 6 tournament. Once teams have been selected practices may begin as soon as May 26th, but regular season practices and games take precedence. The number of practices per week can vary, but you can expect higher commitment for practice days and duration than you experienced during the regular season. Teams will typically have between 4 and 6 events every week during the duration of the Tournament. Tournament games will start on or about June 13th through at least July 10th with a minimum of four games during the pool play round, followed by a double elimination round for the district 6 title. You can expect tournament dates to possibly last throughout early July and/or longer if a team is successful in advancing. Furthermore, when filling out your player(s) registration forms please indicate any vacation time during district play. It is expected that players will be available during the practices & tournament times so please consider this commitment seriously as it is a family decision
 
While some of the expenses of Districts is covered by EGGLL and fundraising, players selected for the District team will be charged a $85 registration fee to help offset the cost of district play, uniforms, and other associated fees. If you have any questions about the districts process or the paperwork required please contact VP of Baseball, Chris Perry, via email at [email protected]

2026 Softball Registration

2026 Softball Districts

Greetings EGGLL Community, 

We may have just begun our regular season but we’re getting ready for the District All-Star Softball season! Please read the information below as it regards to district play and team selection. 

We encourage all eligible EGGLL players to try out for these teams, but please understand that players will be selected to join the teams based on regular season play, coach feedback, and the assessments at tryouts. This is a wonderful opportunity for players to continue their growth in a highly competitive environment. The goal for these teams is to compete at the highest level possible. Playing time will follow Little League Softball tournament standards and are not driven by local regular season rules. 

District tryouts for softball players on the 10u team will be held at 5pm on Thursday, May 28th on Field 1 at Salmon Brook Park
District tryouts for softball players on the 12u team will be held at 5pm on Monday, June 1st on Field 3 at Salmon Brook Park.

Please bring a completed school enrollment form & birth certificate with you to the tryouts. 

8-10 Team – Birth Years 2015, 2016, & 2017. Check-in begins at 4:30PM & start promptly at 5PM 
11-12 Team – Birth Years 2013 & 2014. Check-in begins at 4:30PM & start promptly at 5PM
