Softball Age
To determine your child's softball age please refer to this chart.
Younger players are placed in T-Ball and Farm leagues by age only. No assessment is done for these leagues.
T-Ball
- Ages 4-6
- 1 game a week, typically on Saturdays
- 1 practice a week
- Ball is a 10" rubber ball
- Players hit off a tee.
- Games are 3 innings long, about 90 minutes
Farm
- Ages 6-8
- 2 games a week, typically on Tuesdays and Saturdays
- 1 practice a week
- Ball is a 10" rubber ball
- Coach pitch
- Games are 3 innings long, about 90 minutes
Players are placed in the following leagues based on age and pre-season assessments.
Minors - AA
- Ages 8-10
- 2 games a week, typically on Wednesdays and Saturdays
- 1 practice a week
- Ball is a 11" rubber ball
- Season starts as coach pitch transitioning to player pitch from 35'
- Games are 2 hours long or 6 innings
Minors - AAA
- Ages 9-11
- 2 games a week, typically on Thursdays and Saturdays
- 1 practice a week
- Ball is 11" hard ball
- Player pitch only from 35'
- Games are 2 hours long or 6 innings
Majors
- Ages 10-12
- 2 games a week, typically on Fridays and Sundays
- 1-2 practices a week
- Ball is 12" hard ball
- Player pitch only from 40'
- Games are 2 hours or 6 innings
Juniors
- Ages 13-15 (no assessment required)
- 2 games a week, typically on Tuesdays and Sundays
- 1-2 practices a week
- Ball is 12" hard ball
- Player pitch only from 43'
- Games are 2 hours or 7 innings
